Carla Tovias
Arts and Movement
Born in Barcelona in 1992, since 2012 I have been developing my career in the professional field of performing arts.
I am an interpreter, creator, and stage director. Over the years, Theatre has become my home, a space of comfort and at the same time, a constant challenge. I conceive Theatre as a visual art, which is why I cannot disconnect it from the body and plastic image, nor from politics, as it is a transformative tool. For me, the act of creating, acting, or directing is a form of communication. Every action on stage is an opportunity to use the tools I have acquired over the years, always working from the connection between body and mind, word and gesture, and creating a direct relationship between what we are and what we want to express.
